Leona Hrtánková, a second-year student at VŠAPs, is currently spending a study semester in Malta, where she is engaged in intensive English language learning and exploring intercultural psychology in practice. On March 28, 2025, the College of Applied Psychology (VŠAPs) signed a cooperation agreement with the Town of Most. The aim of this partnership is to connect academic education and research with the needs of the region and its residents.

Two lecturers and one student from the College of Applied Psychology (VŠAPs) participated in the international conference "The Value of Authority and Its Role in Shaping Individuals," organized by the Wyższa Szkoła Ekonomiczna in Stalowa Wola, Poland, on February 11. 2025. The hybrid-format conference provided a platform for expert discussions on how authority influences individuals and society in various contexts.
On February 6, 2025, the 18th International Scientific Conference: European Forum of Entrepreneurship (EFP 2025) took place at NEWTON College in Prague, featuring distinguished speakers, including faculty members from the University of Applied Psychology (VŠAPs).
The Vice-Rector for Development and External Relations at VŠAPs, Doc. PhDr. Dr.phil. Laura Janáčková, CSc., has published her fifth book on relationships, 10 Rules of Love and You Won't Have Wrinkles. The official book launch took place on February 14, symbolically on Valentine's Day, the celebration of love.
The University of Applied Psychology (VŠAPs) and the Nativitas association have taken their long-term collaboration to the next level by signing a memorandum of support and cooperation. This step reflects their successful joint activities in education, research, and community project support.
Our lecturer, Petra Sýkorová, was involved in the organization and also moderated EduThonu 25, a unique event focused on educational innovation, organized by Lesní Akademie Mentaurov. On Friday, May 16, the 4th annual professional conference and accompanying festival, "Na mou duši", will take place, focusing on the increasingly relevant topic of youth mental health, particularly in the school environment. The event, which combines a conference, workshops, an evening concert, and other accompanying activities, will be held at the College of Applied Psychology in Terezín. It is designed for professionals, educators, parents, and students who want to contribute to creating healthier and safer school environments.
Our Project Lab at the College of Applied Psychology (VŠAPs) in Terezín has become the birthplace of a unique initiative, Defend Yourself!, which combines practical self-defense skills with the psychology of conflict. On April 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM, the Alumni Club held another regular meeting.
Former students met with the Rector and agreed on continued collaboration. They also visited second-year part-time students, offering support and assistance with challenges, as well as consultations on writing seminar, term, or bachelor's theses. Both students and alumni were invited to the upcoming conference Svět 2030: Na mou duši, which will take place on May 30, 2024, at the College of Applied Psychology.
The Academic Council of the College of Applied Psychology (VŠAPs), upon the proposal of its chairman, PhDr. Mgr. Štefan Medzihorský, has approved Prof. ThDr. Patrik Maturkanič, PhD. as a university professor for the needs of VŠAPs in Terezín. An anonymous per rollam vote took place from April 3 to April 5, 2024, resulting in 19 affirmative votes and 0 negative votes. The proposal thus received the required majority approval.
At the Presidential Palace in Bratislava, Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová officially appointed 39 new university professors. Among them was the current Vice-Rector of the College of Applied Psychology (VŠAPs), now Professor Patrik Maturkanič. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to him.
In the second half of February 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the College of Applied Psychology (VŠAPs) and the International Black Sea University in Tbilisi. The rectors of both partner institutions agreed on mutual collaboration, a commitment further emphasized by the participation of our Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Milan Fiľa, at an international conference held in Tbilisi on October 18-19, 2023.
Zaměstnanci VŠAPs, Ing. Veronika Tóthová, PhD. a doc. Ing. Milan Fiľa, PhD., prorektor pro zahraniční spolupráci, se v březnu 2024 aktivně zúčastnili 12. ročníku mezinárodní konference "It's about People 2024", která se konala ve Slovinském Mariboru ve dnech 8.3.-13.3.2024.

V druhé polovině roku 2023 vyšlo čtyřem pedagogům Vysoké školy aplikované psychologie v Terezíně (dr. Lorencová, doc. Maturkanič, dr. Antošová a dr. Ivana Tomanová Čergeťová) šest databázovaných zahraničních publikací (Web of Science, Scopus), které i tímto způsobem přispěly k dalšímu vědeckému rozvoji VŠAPs.
Studenti VŠAPs jsou aktivní nejen na výuce v lavicích vysoké školy. V rámci studia mají možnost aktivního zapojení se do dalších příležitostí, které i aktivně využívají.
